Further Information:
TenaTac® is used during and after surgical procedures to achieve local haemostasis by tamponade effect.
TenaTac® has a unique, patented* surface modification created with high precision. The surface of the patch is divided into over 1000 columns. This leads to a 10–fold increase in surface area, greatly increasing the interaction between the product and the underlying tissue. The flexible columns conform to the variations in tissue surface and act independently to resist shear forces that may dislodge a normal sponge in the peri–operative period.
Product Benefits:
• Easy to apply (ready to use dry)
• Free of blood–derived proteins
• Excellent adhesion
• Controls bleeding quickly
• Flexible and conforms to wound contours
• Reduces post–operative bleeding complications
• Can be used laparoscopically
• Storage conditions between 5–30°C
• Shelf life 3 years
How to use TenaTac:
TenaTac® is easy to handle and ready to use, straight from the packet.
It should always be applied dry and can be easily rolled for laparoscopic use.
