• Silicone Nasal Splints are harp–shaped moulding that are manufactured from a silicone elastomer which is biocompatible, latex and phthalate free.
• A range of sizes are available to satisfy various surgical techniques for insertion and to facilitate short term use in the nasal cavity.
• Note: Medasil^® Silicone Nasal Splints are intended to be used in a Health Care Setting where they are inserted in several post–operative surgical procedures.

Intended Use:

• Designed to support the nasal septum, to minimise the adhesion risk between septum and lateral nasal wall, stabilize the healing septum and provide septal compression, which may mitigate postoperative bleeding.
• Establish an airway for the patient, in situations requiring bilateral splinting or packing and have a facility effect on mucosal healing in cases where there is a risk of mucosal injury.
• The device is intended for short term use only (up to 29 days).
